Hello everyone, this is my first time on the site. My starview box is completely down. i was watching one minute, and its saying no signal the next. i tried to rescan, and i could get any channel. someone help
There's been alot of codes changed today so check here that you have the latest codes on your box http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/528527
yeah a change of codes can cause that message to be displayed, check the codes that are on your box with the ones in the link I sent you above
Ok so you have the latest codes on your box then, press menu on your remote and enter 1570 and check at the bottom of the list it brings up that the EMU is on
just popping in for a mo co19 dont mind me intruding but rosicky10 if you go to secret menu 1570 press the autodefault key (ok) and the box should update
can anyone help? i have tried putting the new code, autoscan, EMU on, but i am still not getting any signal. could it be the symbol rate? its a t*l*west
I have checked the cable, and it is pluged in well It will not pick up any channels at all after i set the langauge & use installation menus. Any suggestions on what could be the problem? I tried 1. Scanning all Cable networks. 2. Puttting in the latest codes in the 1570 hidden menu(although told this box would do it auto & they looked correct) 3. Scannning manually 4.Changed Key EMU to on.
Try this method Menu > Factory Setting PIN 0000 OK to delete Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on English > Installation Choose Provider etc Automatic Scan Press OK Channels found Exit Press Menu then 1570 Turn EMU key ON Exit , exit , exit
Celtic71, do u think i neeed to download any softwares, cus i tried what you said, but it wasnt find any channels. Please help
Doesnt really matter what firmware you have on it in regards to scanning for channels , the firmware is for updating the codes etc Are you running the b0x from the main feed or a splitter , check your cable is not damaged Press Menu > System Information and tell us what the API is please
You will need to know if you have a clone or genuine Count the vents on top 18x7 = Clone 25x7 = Genuine 13x7 = 1st Generation Also looking from the front Scart to the left = Clone Scart to the right = Genuine You will need the GTromloader, (Starvi*w Software Uploader), found in the Starvi*w software folder of the link. You will need version 4.00 firmware for GENUINES found in "Starvi*w" firmware folder. You will need version 2.57_FIXED firmware for CLONES found in "Starvi*w" firmware folder.
