Starview default pin problem

Hi,

IF anyone can offer some help with my problem, it would be much appreciated.

Im working on my fathers old starview box (7*25 vents) and i cannot seem to do a fctory reset on it for some obscure reason. He has never changed the default pin (0000 i thought) and it will not accept anything i enter.

I updated the firmware to V4 and it still doesnt accept the default pin.

I cant even enter the channel edit screen at the moment. It just keeps asking for the pin when i enter the last digit, i.e. starts the pin entry from the beggining again.

Any ideas how i can get round this problem? or what the default pin is? I know im prolly just being stupid, so any help much appreciated.
