Hi guys, Im new to this site so would like to say a big hello to everyone!
I have a problem with my genuine starview box, my mate had took it off me when the codes stopped appearing to update the software.
Now when I power it up I just get a logo on the screen which says "the box". The box will not respond to any buttons on the unit or the remote control.
I have searched the internet and this site (the best) and tried to update the firmware to the newest version with no joy, just keep getting download failed.
I have a feeling my mate has put the wrong firmware on the box.
Any ideas how I can get this back on??? thanks in advance

Tried this last night and it worked!!! All I would say to anyone trying the same thing is to be patient[/b. I must of tried it about 10 times. I clciked download then turned the box on after one second, this didnt work so I tried two seconds and so on!
I got to 10 seconds and was really tempted to throw it in the bin lol. Tried the last time on 11 seconds and hey presto it worked!
The only slight problem is that iv only got freview channels, but as long as I can watch the footy im happy for now lol
Thanks again for the help, hopefuly I can do someone on a good turn for someone on here in the future!

Use CryptStar-v1.4-Core257.bin firmw@re I know you say you have a genuine box but this works fine on both.

But do as said after flash and turn key emu back on. Exit to Sly Sports and let it update. It will work.
