starview help

    hi i was just wondering if u know what wrong with the box it is all installed right and everything but when its on it keeps rebooting and the numbers on the front of the box keep going all wrong any suggestions thanks

    have you flashed it with the correct firware as there are a few starviews and there software is not interchangeable between boxes,i would say try and flash it again with a slightly earlier version,and if the problem is gone then flash it with the correct firmware update.starview1 says just starview on the front of the box,starview2 says starview the box(and with correct firmware flashed will show an on screen logo,saying the box)starview3 will say starview super.also they have different loaders they all say gtrom then version number.good luck.

    hi i have tryed putting older firmware on but no luck its the box starview 2 when u put it on all seems ok for a couple of seconds then picture freezes and distorts numbers on front go weird and then it boots and repeats this over again

    might be caps going on inside of box,freezing followed by rebooting is usually a sign,unplug box remove top and look at caps for doming or leaking.

    checked all that but one thing ive just tryed is where the cable goes into back box i nipped the metal together abit and hey presto its working dont know how long for though
