have you turned the emu on? if you have and still nothing take it back to factory settings and set up from scratch all your channels will then be back on.

go to main menu press 1570.this brings you to the cas menu go down and turn emu on.then go to a scrambled channel and let it un scramble.
if you don't have v2.57 fixed or v4.00 firmware on it the channels won't unsrcamble and you will have to put the keys in manual.

yeah you need to flash to 2.57 or v4.00 depending on if you have a clone box or a genuine box.

The cable is a 9 pin female to female and it sounds like the right one if it came with the SV box

and with this lead connect all the box up and this should enable the code 1570 to work on the main menu?

You need to downlaod the gt rom loader and the 2.57 fixed (For clones) both att he bottoms of Ryans post . Connect the SV to your PC , Make sure the SV is on Standby , Open the gt loader and locate the 2.57fixed .bin file , then click on downlaod , it should update the box and you should see it to 100% , It should be updated and allow you into the secret cas menu to manual input the codes.
