    Hi

I am new to this forum so please be kind

I currently have a clone starview box. I have not updated the firmware but my box was working one day and the next it died with nothing on the display. I tried turning on and off a number of times now it does come one but either there is a green dash that goes across the bottom and stops on the fifth one or displays a 0. I have checked the other forums and most seem to suggest a hardware fault with the capacitor being the problem. The way most have identified this is with a bubble on the top of the capacitor. I have checked mine and the capacitor looks ok. I am stuck as to why this has happened and what I can do to fix it.

I am also curious about jtaging can someone please point me in the write direction. possibly with a picture of what jtaging should look like once done.

I would really appreciate any assistance you can provide.

The box have version 3 for the firmware sorry can't provide more as I can not get the details now.

thanks sc0user 1 other thing when I checked the c11 it was fused to the item on u2 sorry my electronic component names is very poor. When i tried to separate them a bit of the case from the component on u2 came off. If i need to replace that as well can you tell me what it is called and the specs for so I can order a replacement or it. I know I am a very newbie but thanks for your help.

Sorry U2 doesnt ring a bell. Best bet if you dont feel comfortable with doing it, is go to your local TV repair shop and they will fix it for a few quid. Then you can reflash it with the Cryptstar257 bin file and away you go ;)
