Hi There, Can any one help? I have starview box About month ago it was working fine than i went on holiday so while i went took the box off from the NTL cable system which is now Virgin Media. When i came back last week and pulg it back agian is fine for the freeview channels but all the $other ones are not working anymore. i have change the keys two time now i have got the latest one which one realse on the 18th april. I have tried for both NTL and TW but is still not showing. New Keys i get from is www.bigmaq.co.uk only down thing is you have to download there toolbar to able to get all the latest key anytime which is very quick. pls anyone suggest what can it be done i need to get fixed by this friday got some friend coming over so can watch some fotties and etc. Will apperciate any help! regards DA
Reflash your box with the latest firmware and you'll never need new codes again. Genuine or clone ??? Count the vents on top First Generation = 13 x 7 vents Genuine = 25 x 7 vents Clone = 18 x 7 vents Go to http://www.eko.4shared.com Go into the 'Starview' folder and download the GTRom Loader v4.00.rar then go into the 'Firmware' folder for these files. CryptStar-v14-GenuineOnly.zip file if your box is genuine If your box is a clone then you need the CryptStar-v14-Core257.BIN file. Extract the files you have downloaded (.BIN files need no extraction so leave alone) *NOTE* you will need a NULL MODEM CABLE and not an RS232 CABLE from your local electronics store. If you get the RS232 cable then it won't work with the following. UPLOADING SOFTWARE TUTORIAL 1. Plug Starview in at the mains. 2. Plug in null modem cable and join up box with PC using COM port on PC (there is only one socket for this on the Starview you cant go wrong); 3. Open up GTRom loader 4. Click on "BIN File" on GTRom and load the Auto update BIN file that you have saved earlier 5. Now click download button and you will see the file being downloaded. 6. Once complete a message will appear saying something like "download successful". 7. Ideally you should try and get a bin file channel list for your area and load this as well it will save a lot of time. 8. Alternatively, plug box in and press Menu on remote, installation, choose your cable provider, then move down to automatic scan and press ok. 9. Once all channels have been found press exit back to TV screen. 10. Now press menu, parental control, press ok. Then press i then 2004. Move down to Key Emu and change option to on. Press ok , then exit back to TV Screen. 11. If entering the code of 2004 does not work, substitute with the code of 1570.

Dear topcat96 thanks for your help it did work and i manage to update the new version and is showing all the channeles but got only one problem now which is is not showing as full screen i got 32" Lcd when i change options on the TV doesnot make any difference. I have change to full screen in the user setup there are only two options avail 1 is Letter and 2nd is Full. So do you have any idea wht it can be? Anyway do appericeiate your help. kind regards DA
Dear Topcat96 Thanks for all your help everything was working fine untill Tuesday evening signal freezed and picture went. My wife tried to reset the box she took off from the main supply and put it back but after that never come back on again is not showing any LCD on the box. Have any idea what it can be? darora,when codes change picture will freeze and go blank,if u switch box off then on what message is on screen? bad or scrambled check ur emu is still switched on-menu 1570-key emu to on and exit out
Hi cactikid Thanks for your reply. Box is not switching on at all(No any Light or LCD at the front) but there is power in the box because i was feeding my original N*L box thorugh the Starview and it is working because when take the plug out from the main for starview box N*L stop same time aswell. So i don't realy no what exactly heppen. thnaks Daror
