    Hi folks,

I recenty bought a new samsung flat screen TV and my starview box (which worked perfectly before) seems not as strong on this tv. The picture has faint lines running through it and there is buzzing coming from the sound when I increase the volume. Is there a problem with this box on bigger screens, my is 46"? I would apreciate any help that anybody out there can give me.

    Thanks in advance,

    Garr,

Go into settings and set it to PAL1 & see if that does the job.

Ok NOELYF I will do that as soon as I get home. I presume that you mean some setting on the starview box itself and not on the tv.

Thanks again for your help, I will let you know how I get on.

Thanks Noelyf but I went into setup and changed tv type to PAL which didnt work also changed the modulater to PAL-1, didn't do any good either. Could it br the strength of the tv and maybe I need some kind of booster on my cable?? Any other ideas would be a great help.

    Thanks again,

    Garr.

You could try a different scart garr & see if that makes a difference.

    hi NoelyF,

Already tried that, tried several different scart leads some better than others but the reception is always the same. I might just try getting a booster for the cable. It is the buzzing noise in the speakers that is worrying, it can be quite loud.

    Thanks again for your efforts,

    Garr
