starview problem

please can someone help!!

my brother in laws starview 1 has stoped working! he said when he did a re-scan he found a channel by virgin called something like evst1136 something or other? it said on the screen that he had an ilegal box and must call a certain number, ever since then the box picks up all the channels but just shows them as scambled? please can someone help? ive re-scanned box with new filmware but still the same?

dont mind the warning!!! to sort out your other problem press menu then input 1570 and turn on the EMU go back to the channels and it should click in!!

If you are sure the emu is on try turning off the box for a minute or two then go to sky spots and it should say updating data% after a couple of minutes it will click in, make sure all cable are connected fully and in the right holes!!

 

ill give it go but we have been trying for ages as i have the same box but no problems , we have had them for about 2 years and this is the first time ive been stupmed by a problem

 

If you both have the same box, why dont you do a data transfer!!! just do a factory reset on the bogey box!!

 

desb this still didnt work? its as if the key emu is not working! its on all the channels are there but it just wont turn them on? im so stuck now can anyone help?

 

if u have channels on box that say bad or scrambled,do as des says
on remote press menu1570 key emu to on and exit out all the way,if keys rolled it should go into update mode,hi des!

 

if that does not work state what u flashed it with,menu-system info-v??

 

im having similar problems in dublin only when i rescan i get no channels at all tryed scaning about 20 times was wondering if anyboby could give me a channel dump file as i think my tunner is fecked dublin

 

was u r box working before,coaxial into cable input,and u selected n*l as provider?

 

catkid, im using v 4 core 400 its a starview 1 box the key emu is on thats what i dont understand? any help would be great? ive tried everthing now channel dump (but this did not work at all) data transfer , its really weired its as if the emu is not working as all channels are there?

 

is this an old box that was working,try setting default key and exit box should go into update mode,if new box u will need to add the cryptstar patch to get box working again.make sure coaxial is going into cable input.

V*rg*n turned all boxes off today 09.30hrs due to servicing server then change over from anolog etc means that this will take a few hours to so all areas should be up and running within 5 hours as normal, do not try and retuning them in as they will detect your box and this might cause problems, sit back wait a few hours and let it kick in this applies to starv*ew, ma*x, etc this has been happening with the internet over the last couple of weeks around 02.30hrs for short periods too. sit back and relax

nothing undetectable m8 they can do line output test, voltage test, see what amps your receiving and then higher the output to blow your box like they did oct 2007 to all the modems,hence the flashing lights and locked out modems, but this cost too much for them to do often but now and then they will,boxes just works same as internet modems send and receive signals, ip address servers etc, just they use open network so easy to tap into, they are starting to get on top of things now, better owner, better money and better people to employ also working with the police now too and starting to prosecute people using them something the last 3 owners never did????????
