Starview problems

    Hi, I am having problems with my starview box. It is running
    API ver 4.00e_E Boot Ver 7.0 7 Jun 2007.

    I am having difficulty picking up certain channels and I suspect it needs to be re-flased. Can anyone provide the software and instructions on how to do it.

    original or clone box?

    Count the vents on top:

    First Generation = 13 x 7 vents
    Genuine = 25 x 7 vents
    Clone = 18 x 7 vents

    Seems to be a clone it has 18 X 7 vents on top.

    Are you sure its a clone cos v4.00 wouldnt last very long on a clone and it would blow it

    yip, it has 18 X 7 vents on the top of the box andm one vent on each side. API version etc... are correct as well. Not sure whats happening really it worked well for months then I lost BBC, UTV, C4 and a few others. Some of the other channels so not work sometimes either. I've tried updating the codes and re-installing the channels, so not really sure what the problem is......hthats why I want to try and re-flash.

    what do ya think ?

    all right lads, first time to post here and just want to say well done and keep up all the good work, you guys are a great help. Some of my family have clone sv units. they were bought about 7 months ago with 4.00e_E and think it took this long to die. i was looking at the jtag option but think its all a bit over my head. i was looking on ebay and came across http://cgi.ebay.ie/Eurovox-Solder-F...ryZ39804QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
