starview pvr box

can i tranfer files form starview pvr to pc and burn them to dvd.where do i get the firmware

 

Apologies for the reply on the other threads, I also didn't think I would be answering this question, 'cos I don't have the pvr version.
Anyway, I believe there is a usb connection on the pvr, have you tried to connect this to a usb port on your pc,
which, if it works, might show up as an extra drive / storage device in your file manager.
Are you using windoze, mac osx, linux or what?

i havent bought one yet just want to make sure it works im in ireland.do u know if its easy to set up.what fireware do i flash if i decide to nuy 1

 

As I said, have you tried to connect your pvr to your pc, using the usb ports on each. According to the specs
for the pvr, it is a full usb port, so it should appear in windows xp, as another storage device / drive. Click on the "My Computer" icon, or open explorer, whatever your preferred method for looking at drives, and you should see an extra drive there.

You use the following Firmware for PVR:

BoxPVR_E_v4500_06Jul.bin

Loader:

PVR Loader v3.36s Sep 7 2005.exe
