    All.

There are rumours that the Starview people have abandoned their plans to support the following Starview Boxes:

    Starview 1
    Starview 2
    Starview 3

as (supposedly) there are too many clones available. Maybe they are too old. Please correct me.

Apparently the Starview 4 USB is the only Starview Box that is being supported with fixes already released.

However, there seems to be no confirmation or even rumours on whether the Starview PVR/The Box PVR support (the one with the Hard Drive) has been dropped because:

    1. There are no clones for the Starview PVR/The Box PVR available (I'm ready to be proven wrong).
    2. In the EMU Menu - there is a facility to chose between N1 and N2.

    Q. Can someone please confirm whether support for Starview PVR/The Box PVR has been dropped also??

Appreciate any information you can share (apart from buying a Kryptview):

The last fix for that box was done by SunRise and not by the Starview coders so unfortunately I cannot see them supporting this box.

Thanks for your quick response. It boggles the mind that even with the N1/N2 facility available on the Starvie PVR/The Box PVR, Starview won't even support this Box. It can blatently use N2. I cannot even express how angered I am by this. It's a total joke if this is true. Anyone else got anything to add? Can "Sunrise" do something familiar perhaps??

I do not have this box any longer. I had one to try out quite a while back. The N2 facility on this box I wouldnt say is of any consequence if indeed it is an N2 emu. Hard to see that as viable given what the other working fixes had to come from.

Remember the Eurovox when the first Kuro update arrived it mentioned N2 compatibility and look how that has faired. Sometimes its a bit of advertising on the manufacturers part ;)

Maybe he will, (although he said he is finished with them), or someone else may but I cannot say sorry.

It was always a box that was buggy at the best of times. But for a dual tuner box at that price you couldn't argue. I know that's not of much use to you now sorry :(

    Thanks for the reply.

I have official binned my Starview PVR/The Box PVR.

I will never ever purchase anything remotely related to the Starview again.

I will also recommend others do to the same.

I know people are waiting around in hope for the other boxes. Why wait around. The support is never ever gonna come.

I'm looking to purchase S-ky as I type this online. NT-Hell can go just there!

    Thanks for the replies.

Is that why kv was so quick? I'd love to see him back and have old boxes going again. I'd code myself but I don't have a clue :)

I can't believe the starview team, Only fixing the new box, at least the kv has fixes for old and new boxes, it's ridiculous as the sv3 is only a little older than sv4 and it's a paperweight on nthell Ireland.

I have The Starview box PVR and feel the same way about Starview. I will never buy another of their boxes and I always recommend others to stay away from them.

It's disappointing to see Sunrise retire but I can undertsand the point of view of Sunrise as his selfless work was being criticised by idiots.

I have switched off my YouPeeSee TV service as it is such poor service for a high cost and switched to analogue + FTA digital channels instead.

MICKAH sorry for jumping on your quote im not taking a pop at you
he came out with fixes for all types of boxes!yeh
that man did not have to earn respect he should have just got it, instead of greif especally when you try and help strangers,
is'nt that what these sites are for to help, not to criticise?
there are over 4million people in ireland,
id say at least 25% of us have a dogy box so look at how many he helped and we did not know who it was, but some not all that did know SunRise got rid of him out of malice.
    they are sad!!.

its actually up to him mate he retired
its not a normal petition that needs to be staretd
it should be an apology petition, but he will never get that of the ones who done the moaning and caused grief, no point in us saying sorry for them idiots'
try asking him would he reconsider coming back some1 must still know how to get in touch with him?
