Just trying to find stuff out about the starview pvr, will it act as a decoder, I have a live virgin cable line not for tv but for broadband. If it was plugged in would it receive channels?
Hi Yes you will need a 'T' splitter (KONG 5-2400mhz) Then take a look and read in TheBox PVR folder in the link below (Software and How Too's in there) http://eko.4shared.com jbvid
i have found ver 4.5, 6 july 2007 so I suspect latest firmware. have plugged into cable splitter done scan on NTL but found no channels?
Hi 1. Try without the splitter first incase you are cutting signal strength. 2. Are you scanning for the correct supplier in your area? (ie TW,NTL,Ex C&W,etc) 3. Are you SURE you have the suppliers cable into the correct socket and a loop cable fitted between the two tuners (they are marked)? The are 6 sockets on the back so easy done wrong and you won't be the first, or last. For Item 2 goto Menu/Installation, then use left/right arrow button on the remote to select your provider then down to autoscan, and wait for the scan to finish. You should then have channels, Next goto Menu/System Setup/Parental Control, then press i (info) then 2007 on your remote control you may need to do this a few times at different speeds this should take you to the CAS SYSTEM menu just make sure Auto Update is On (this is the auto emu key update) Not sure if you have loaded the 4.5-6th july if not you will need to first it tells you how in that thread. jbvid
I had connected wrong, I followed the instruction booklet DOH! Thanks for your help the channels are rolling in......
Hi Sometimes when I first switch on I get this (very few with any epg) but after a while the epg seems to come back slowly. There is some new software out which is a bit better but its not on this site. (E_Ver 4.506,15thOct2007) Google 'Satdownloads' you will need to register. jbvid
