I am wondering, if you get a sports package from n*l will the starview still work or do we lose all the channels. Does it just work with the basic package.

first off you need to know what starview you have 1/2/3/4,then you can get a loader here gtrom version number ?(thats a program for your pc to easily put the firmware in your box)then you need the firmware which is also available here(so you download loader and then firmware, then you will need a cable from your pc to your box)if your pc is old a null modem cable will do(9 pin female on both ends)if your pc is new you will need a usb to seriel converter cable(which is just a cable with a usb connection on one end and a socket the other end so as to join one end of your null modem cable to it)if this sounds to hard for you then simply download bigmaq toolbar, and install it on your pc.this has all the codes to make your box work(just click on the big key)then input codes into your box manualy(i can help you with this takes about 3 or 4 minutes.

first of all you should remove your email from here its against forum rules.have you checked the obvious is the rf cable in properly sometimes the most obvious of problems get over looked,i would check all of these first,if there's a problem with the box itself if you could be more specific with regards to what box he has,are there any channels atall on the box etc, then there are plenty of people here that may help you.
