Starview remote

Remote control not responding at times will not move on channels.
I bought a new one and it seemed to work ok up to the latest code changes.
Is it a software up date problem?

 

If you have a mobile phone with a camera, switch it to camera mode. Point the remote at the camera lens and press some buttons , and you should see the infra-red LED flashing on the screen. If you don't see it flashing, then yes, the remote is dead.If you do see it flashing, then it's not the remote.

the box has not been updated since the last number changes would that cause it.
Last night I moved it to another room and it worked fine for about 1 hour and then it frooze and would not respond.

 

Unplug the b0x from the mains & open the casing.
Push down gently on the connectors (ribbons at the lcd screen) & see if this does the trick.

Thanks again done that it didnt work at first, then I turned the box off and back on and it seems to have kicked in so I will let run for an hour like I did last night and see how I get on.

I will get back later as I have to go out for an hour or so.

Its working away fine,only one thing when you turn it the screen size is on letter box and has to be reset everytime even though it is on full screen in the menu.

Its not a big deal,but if you a fix?

 

juggle between the two and press ok,what is onscreen and listed dont match at times.

 

If its a SV2 or SV3, press the blue button on the remote.
