When i do an automatic scan for channels it starts with (1/34) and scans upto (34/34), TP 1, 2, 14, 22, all scan as ok, but all the others list as failed and only gives me 63 channels including radio.

    Using genuine starview 1 box

    API ver:4.00e_E
    Boot ver:7.0

    Cheers in advance

Try this method as a good few transponders fail

    Menu > Factory Setting
    PIN 0000
    OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on
    English > Installation
    Choose Provider etc
    Automatic Scan
    Press OK
    Channels found
    Exit

    Press Menu then 1570
    Turn EMU key ON

    Exit , exit , exit

Tried what you suggested and it still only picks up 63 channels, 43 Tv and 20 radio.

Yes i am using the main coax connection, i removed the splitter on the box outside just to see if the splitter was faulty, i have also tried my ntl box and channels are ok, just that some of the channels that are missing are ones i subscribe to from ntl.
Will keep trying to scan on and off over the next few hours.

    Cheers for your suggestions.

Try a manual scan from a low frequency say 100.000 and see if it picks up your home frequency.

Hi, yep inferior/bad connections would cause a problem alright.

Cheers for your help folks, decided to use a sledgehammer to get it to work, won't scan any channels now, so invested in a starview 2 everything fine now scanned over 400 channels.
