I hope someone can help me PLZ. I bought a genuine starview super box a week ago (25x7 vents). i have updated all the software. I just recently moved to england. (London). When i turn on the box i enter the setup menu. When i select the search options and search the box does not find any channels. I have tried all varations for the search and it won't pick up anything. I have virgin cable coming in to the house. I don't know what to try. Can any one please help!! Any help greatly appreciated..
Are you sure that the cable is a live feed, and have you a subbed box to test it. It would be advisable to go to the link marked Starview at the bottom of my post and read through it. You say it has the latest version of firmware, what is it - is V8.00 or 7.09.
The fed is live as the virgin digi box works off the cable input. The version of software is 7.09. I downloaded it from a web site. Its werid cause it searches and finds nothing!! The super box looks the image of the box. It has the right amount of fins when compared to the description on this web site. Any clues
If you are VM then you are in UK and you should have v8.00 but you now need the 8.02 FIX on the box Super so flash with that one, make sure that you do a Factory Re-Set first okay and a fresh Installation and ensure that you choose your provider, NTL C/W Telepest, and also make sure that you do it straight from the cable and not via a splitter, and ensure that you have the feed into the Cable Input socket, you can try it with the present firmware just to see if it picks up anything, but it will not AU, but do a Factory reset first. You can always put it back on a splitter after. So you will then have to flash it with the 8.02 it is in Eamo's FTA Library at the bottom of post dated 30/11/08.
