starview super firmware

hi hope someone can help. Ive just bought my 3rd box bat cant download the firmware from my comp. it says cant open serial port access is denied so i try port 2 and the download box stays at 0% for a few secs then it says flash update fail any help appreciated

 

Are you using vista?if so try and do it on a pc with a serial port running xp.

i have the right cable i download the firmware from Dooby2oon same as i hav done with the other boxes

 

As karl has advised, go to the Starview Update Link, are you using an adaptor, if so it needs to be assigned correctly, but check out the instructions anyway.

 

thx for the reply. But this is the 3rd super box i have bought, the orther 2 were no problem. I email the guy who i bought it off. He told me to try a factory reset then try and download the firmware. Did that still the same result. Flash has failed.
