I am hoping someone can help me out. I have upgraded the firmware from 4.51 to 8.02 as set out above. This has worked - I now get all channels again!!!! However, I am unable to sort out the channel order correctly - normally I would just organise the various channels into sub-categories under Favourties, thn go into each 'Favourite' and to rearrange channel order. But when I go into each favourite to rearrange, it just keeps listing ALL channels, not the sub category. Having had the box for a long time, this is a new one on me! Also, the screen ratio is not adjusting. I keep selecting 16:9, then when the screen comes back on it's all stretched, so I do what I normally do and turn the unit off then omn again with the switch at the back but this does not sort it out - still all stretched! Anyone got any ideas?
try hiting the blue button on ur remote for the screen problem,i had that problem before,you would probly need to go into channel edit to sort ur channel order.
Don't actually use the Favs myself, but all in all I think you will find the 4.55 better, just flash straight over the current 8.02, worth a try you might even like it, and as rangers has said the BLUE button is handy for the picture ratio.

Yes it is another firmware APIver 4.55e_E Dated 4th December 2008, try it, I found it better. It is in Eamo's FTA Library at the bottom of post, it includes the GTRom 4.03, but you only need the one BIN file in the Loader and that's it.
When you say you found it better, in what way? Im thinking whether to do mine now but from what i see mine is great, epg is loads faster, You can press the info button on a program whilst in the EPG menu and you dont have to exit completely out and go back in to get rid of the Program Info (if you get what i mean) Im just wondering if it is better then Ill go for it!! Just wanted to know in what way.. cheers
Scouser : Yeah I was going to ad that at the end of my last post - Thats Exactly what I say mate, lol. I was just curious as to the difference thats all and if it is better. 8.02 for me is great but if you can get something better then you know how it is ;-)
As scOuser wisely said, stick with the old adage, if you find it suits and you think it is great then leave well alone, I was only replying in general, the 8.02 was a fix - the 4.55 is a December dated release - that's all really. So all in all stay with what you think suits you and best of luck, take care.
I realise you guys are fed up with all the panic and stress. Can a statement not be issued to chill the people - fixes have been more forthcoming previously, not unsurprisingly what with the credit crunch folk are staying in and hoping to have a christmas beyond Dorothy up the yellow brick road. We realise a big clamp down has come about, but is it doomsday, are we irepairably damaged, do we resolve to a freeview box.... the so called peoples internet has been taken over by His Murdochness and News is deaf.....

Hi Does anyone know how to sort the channels manually in the box. I did i t ages ago but can't remember how and i've just updated channels and reset factory settings. I don't want to download any auto firmware as i don't have the right lead Thanks
