Hey folks, strange error i havent seen in other threads, I'm in dub 15 and have the box, n*l. recently i have had channels dropping and after doing a rescan not detecting them. I must admit i have been lazy and not deleted the duplicates after doing a rescan- of the ones that dont work and the ones that i have already! so now i have about 206 channels logged on my box but barely more than half work. My question: How can i delete all, and start from scratch safely? I want to delete everything and do a rescan getting all available channels incl tv5 and living +1, and everything else with the minimum disruption. I dont mind re-arranging them after but wideally would like a scan to detect just available working channels and then do as as i like with them. By the way i dont have the PC serial port interface cable. Please please help me do this in an easy effective safe manner... Thanks in advance- you folks are the best and as far as i have seen so far always have a clever solution. Best regards, PG.
Do a Factory Re-Set, Menu down to Factory Re-set OK and enter pin to confirm. (Factory re-set will not affact the firmware you have installed) Then Installation OK accept Language OK - choose your provider (right Hand Side top) down to Automatic Scan OK, when finished exit exit to main menu enter 1570 and turn Key UMU to ON, exit all the way out to Sly sports 1 and let it update. (If you have not got the latest Auto Update Firmware) then you will have to enter them manually - but you will not get them on here). You should always do a Re-Set before a scan as you have found out, duplicates everywhere. If you require help with any updating of firmware then just come back on there is always someone to help.
Super stuff, worked. Now i just need to re-organise them all into the preferred order! Any quick way of doing this without a cable? Best regards.
I'm afraid not, the only way forward is through Channel Edit, you can easily put them into Alphabetical order there, but as for the favourites groups you will have to re-arrange them manually.
Thanks, On a completely seperate issue: I have my box hooked up via scart to a big flat screen and noticed that when i enter into any menu item on the box a buzzing sound appears. Actually it is always there more on some channels than others, but gets significantly worse when i enter into a menu item. Any ideas as to how i might stop this?
Not apart from changing and playing around with your Scart/s, it seems to be a probable connection problem from box to TV that's all, try changing your Scart and make sure that all leads are pushed home firmly, also make sure their is no loose coax at plug end of cable.
If you have a continous Drone on the TV, simply turn the box volume up full and the TV volume down until its loud enough ! if you know whatI mean... it worked for me!!
