Hi, I bought a starview 2 'the box' a few weeks back. It worked fine until last week. Every now and then the picture begins to flicker. It lasts for about 30 seconds. its very annoying. Anybody see this before. I have version 4.5 software. Is there any benefit to upgrading to a newer version? Thanks, Mark.
This is a problem with the cable company,you have the best firmware on your box at the moment so upgrading won't stop that. Just a note,4.50 is for Ireland and 4.51 is for the UK.
Thnaks for the help. I think i had a bad cable connection. I remade the coax connection and the problem seems to have dissappeared. One further problem which occurs ocassionally, when browsing using the EPG the screen turns greens. The only way to fix is to switch box off and on. Again not a big deal, just slightly annoying. I am on N*L in Ireland.
Glad to see you got the other thing sorted,the EPG going green then going off is a known glitch in the firmware for 'The Box',it happens to me too,you could try re-flashing your box with the firmware again this might sort it out but personally I don't think it's worth the hassle as it's only a small fault that doesn't effect anything else on the box but it's up to you.
