    hello all!
got a starview 3, and lost all channels the other night apart from standard freeview channels.
done a factory reset, put the latest ex c/w code in, still nothing. just says "data is being updated" and still nothing, then does it again and again!!
turned off at the back and then tried again, still nothing.
any help would be much appreciated.
live in surrey and using V*****

You'll get the firmware in Eamo's library, look under any of the guy's sigs, sc0user, noelyf, HiTeck, fergusrb etc.

If have windows xp on your pc, all you need is an rs232 Null Modem cable and it's really easy to do, if you have vista it gets a little bit more complicated.

Because you probably don't have a female 9 pin serial port, so you will need a usb converter and drivers. There is a tutorial on how to do it somewhere, i will see if i can find it for you.
