    Hi,

Sorry if this problem has been discussed before on here. I have been searching and reading the help files but I dont know if I missed what I need to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am pretty much a newbie to this.

I have the starview/the box and before it appeared to update automatically when channels "went bad", but this morning, I just get a "no signal" message.

Everything is plugged in correctly, but I'm not sure what I need to do. Do I need to flash the box to update software? Any ideas.

    Thanks

make sure the coaxial cable is in the "cable input" slot at the back of the b0x & your scart is pushed in correctly in the TV socket.
if you are still having problems, disconnect the b0x & try the basic cable on your TV, as it might be a cable co. fault.

Thanks for that. Its what I first tried and basic cable box is working fine. So, I'm guessing that a signal is present.

Was working fine last night, not this morning. Strange.

could be a faulty scart lead. Try a different scart & see what happens.

Not the scart unfortunately. Tested the scart and works fine on other devices. Tested different scart and same problem exists. Thanks for the advice. Any other ideas?

"No Signal" normally means the b0x is not connected properly or the signal in your area is down.

You can try a factory setting for a fresh installation

    Menu > Factory Setting
    PIN 0000
    OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

    English > Installation
    Choose Provider etc
    Automatic Scan
    Press OK
    Channels found
    Exit

    Press Menu then 1570
    Turn EMU key ON

    Exit , exit , exit

My box was working earlier today but is now down. Machine is making no effort to reset. Dont know if the box is knackered or what. We are getting a signal (NTL MMDS) into the house as the NTL box in the other room is working fine. Any suggestions?

I am returned to the installation screen - probably because I do not have any programs. I was getting the No Signal message when trying to access a saved program. Should I be seeing something else?

try turning the b0x off at the back for a few minutes, then turn back on.
