hi got the starview the box got all channels but when your watching there is a real bad sound interference be glad of any help
are u using splitters to degrade signal and are u using a good quality scart ,and all connections tight.?
a friend of mine had similar problem, after adjusting volumes on tv and box and checking cables etc noise was still thereIt turned out his scart lead was all of 12 feet long!when we reduced scart to 3 feet or so BINGO noise gone.dont know if it was a faulty scart or overall lenght was the problem?[His problem was a loud buzzing noise]
you're right reswob it was probably the lenght of the cable that created that buzzy noise , i have the same problem in my house , the box i have downstairs works perfect but i have a splitter with another lenght of cable going upstairs , the upstairs box in the other hand gets that anoying buzzy noise , if anyone has a fixe for that would be great , the noise comes in and out , can be ok sometimes , comes stronger during advertisments for some reason ! anyone knows anything ? jer
if u swap boxes around do u still have the noise upstairs yes?if u use cheap coaxial u can get interference thru it, as it is going thru splitters they can have problems as fergus says use the good metal ones with screw in connections.how old is ur coaxial cable diy job? i also prefare to use monster scart leads and power sockets yes dear they are but get u a better picture i think.one of the things i use is a product from monster is 2 x 13 plug with an in/out sat connector ,u plug in ur coaxial in 1 out the other and plug the tv and starview into the 2 x 13 plug sockets,u then have ur tv and starview shielded from dirty power spikes and surges and interference on coaxial.
fergus only recently got himself a nice pair of boots, maybe he can give him a good kick up the ass and get him out of the sack.he.he.he
