Hi I just bought a Starview thebox super, I have a starview 2 which worked perfectly but done the upgrade. I got the box today and came with it was a note saying download the software from a web site. I downloaded the 7.09e and put it on. Everything seemed ok until I went into the sports section, when I goto Sky sports 2 and Setanta 1 the screen goes black or freezes on the channel before. If I go to all channels I get Sky sports 2 but not Setanta. The Sky sports 2 is on a different frecancy then the 1 on Sports channels. Also I tried to overwrite the software with some from another site but when i turn the box back on all the channels are still their so it seems as though it has not overwriten, (should all of the channel need to be re-scanned) PLEASE CAN ANY1 HELP WITH MY PROBLEMS ? IT NOT JUST SETANTA AND SKY SPORTS 2 IT'S THE SAME ON A FEW OTHERS. PLEASE PLEASE HELP
Hi just checked it say's THE BOX SUPER, Apiver:8.00e_E Boot ver:8.0 20.june.2008 Also have jjust done a check to see if its a clone or Genuine, it is a Genuine. Cheers for Quick reply
Alright, press factory reset and then re flash it using the 8.000e http://www.4shared.com/account/file/57364135/8e6fbd/GTRom_Super_800e.html This should sort you out!!
can you tell me where I can get 8.00e ? and does the instruction you have give me clear the box first then re-flash mean download onto Starview box again from PC ? just not up to date with the flashing of the box.
No if you press menu then factory reset, then connect it to the PC via the null modem cable and download the firmware 8.00e and try that!!
