i recently bought 2 starview boxes, a week or so ago some of the paid chennels went off so i updated to the 259 bin file which i downloaded and flashed the boxes as instructed. 1 of the boxes works fine the other doesnt get past the updating process after turning the emu on. I have done both boxes the same, any ideas? is one faulty?
If there genuine starview and not clones why are you using old firmware,are they starview1 or 2 the box? As regards the second 1 when you turn the emu on press the set default key and go to a premium channel and it should update for you,if their geniune starview they should have v400 on them so they autoupdate if their starview 2 "the box" they should have 450 for Ireland and 451 for the uk, 18 vents = clone 25 vents = genuine 13 vents = 1st generation vents are the slits on the top of the box from top to bottom left scart = Clone Right scart= Genuine

I bought mine from www.cableboxireland.com - not a clone and worked a treat.. i'd recommend them. I've friends who paid €200! seems a bit over priced!
