Have been posting on here and another forum trying to update my box but it has all gone a bit wrong. Guy on other site helpful but I still cant get it to work. I've downloaded GT Loader and uploaded 257eE_api.bin.

In loader I think I put wrong thing first time and got - - - - Flashing constant (still is) but done the regedit.

I have now put the following into the loader

Serial Port COM 1 (I have RS 232 cable in first port)
    Baud Rate 115200
    STB Model GCR 3510
BIN FIle (Browsed and entered upload 257eE_api.bin
    and selected app file only

but I'm getting message Model does not correct

Has anyone had this or know what I'm doing wrong.

Help would be very much appreciated been at this for 4 days now AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!

the best thing to do is try on another pc or laptap , if you have one or try it on a friends & see what it does

did you enter something in the box STB Model GCR 3510 , as it should have been generated by the reciever & left

Thanks for the reply before it was just blank and the only way I got it to work was to put in STAR VIEW (As it says in the back of the user guide) but i think that's what's caused it to not work but once I did the regedit it is there but doesnt seem to like it.

This is a simple response and one I'm sure you've tried.

Try Comm 2 on the GT loader as mine works on that one not comm 1.

    You've nothing to lose.
