starview

bought a new starview box cant get nagra vision up on the screen.
i put in 1570 and nagra vision screen dose not come up any solutions.
it is brand new

 

no were in this message did u mention the menu button so try this

press menu > 1570 >

then you should be able to see nagravision option

 

go to system information,if your api is v2.58 you need to change the firmware

 

i go to the gtrom loaderv4.00 and when i hit download it says can't open serial port

 

are you using a null modem or a usb rs232 cable.also on gtrom laoder make sure the com port is set to the com port your using

 

its a null modem and how do i know which port im using cos i had to stick the nine piece ting in the back to connect the null modem cable yoke

 

on gtrom loader it says the port ther change it to port 1

 

Hi Guys,
I too have the same problem with getting into the secret menu.
i press 'menu' then type in '1570', but nothing happens. Do i have a faulty box? (i have only just bought it from ebay)
I have also tried pressing 'menu' then 'Parental control' then 'info' then '2004', but nothing happens.
please help. i do not have the rs232 cable to upgrade the firmware.
