    Menu > Factory Setting
    PIN 0000
    OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

    English > Installation
    Choose Provider etc
    Automatic Scan
    Press OK
    Channels found
    Exit

    Menu 1570
    Turn EMU key ON

    Exit , exit , exit

is scart going into vcr by mistake,as it should be tv.when box is changing channels on front and remote i would have said scart as u have to get something on screen, also check ,av1.av2,av3 settings on tv

scart going into tv, checked all the av on tv, would the power cut have fried anything in the box? I'm not getting a completely blank screen, it's like a black screen with speckles and a horizontal line moving up through it

unplug box and remove screws look at capacitors [green] look for bulges on flat tops and burn marks around board as this is a common fault. awaitng scouser to appear and tell u what to do.so if u have quick look u might see something. cheers

checked the inside, no burn marks or bulges on flat tops, I've tried to hook it up to another TV and the TV tells me 'no signal' so it seems to be a problem with the cable input socket, can I replace this or is there something I can do?
