I've got a starview box not a clone, it was updated with the latest flash and was working no problem, had a power cut in the house and now the box seems to work, lights come on and show channel but there is no picture, can't call up the menu, anybody help out there??
if box lights up with a channel nmbr, can u change with buttons on front, is ur remote working not flat batteries, check scart connections and report back
I can change the channels on the front and with the remote, checked scart, changed scart, still the same.
Menu > Factory Setting PIN 0000 OK to delete Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on English > Installation Choose Provider etc Automatic Scan Press OK Channels found Exit Menu 1570 Turn EMU key ON Exit , exit , exit
can't see anything on the screen to select menu then factory setting, is there a reset button anywhere?
is scart going into vcr by mistake,as it should be tv.when box is changing channels on front and remote i would have said scart as u have to get something on screen, also check ,av1.av2,av3 settings on tv
scart going into tv, checked all the av on tv, would the power cut have fried anything in the box? I'm not getting a completely blank screen, it's like a black screen with speckles and a horizontal line moving up through it
pressed all buttons, put it in standby the right time comes up, click on and the channel number appears on remote but still have a black screen.
unplug box and remove screws look at capacitors [green] look for bulges on flat tops and burn marks around board as this is a common fault. awaitng scouser to appear and tell u what to do.so if u have quick look u might see something. cheers
checked the inside, no burn marks or bulges on flat tops, I've tried to hook it up to another TV and the TV tells me 'no signal' so it seems to be a problem with the cable input socket, can I replace this or is there something I can do?
i sent scouser an sos to get his info as he comes and goes. can u double check u have coaxial cable into cable input and not tv in.
coaxial cable into cable input and not tv in, is correct, I have a box working in the bedroom no problem, just have a problem with this one
