    Hi,

I got a starview2(The box) but can't find any channels on installation. I'm in a new apartment block in Dublin 15 and I don't believe i'm connected to NTL cable. There are NTL boxes on the wall and I can pick up 20 channels off the cable but these include VH1, BBC3 and BBC4 which is weird because you can't normally get these on standard NTL cable.

Is there anyway of doing a full manual scan on all frequencies as I don't know what I'm hooked up to! Anyone else had this problem, anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    David.

Press the 'Menu' button on your remote select 'Installation' then go down to autoscan and press OK,let it scan then when it's finished exit completely out of the menu and you should have all your channels working.

Also press 'menu' enter 1570 and look down the list and make sure 'Key EMU' is on.

    Thanks Co19,

To do an autoscan though, you must have a cable company selected. i've tried all the possible options for cable co and have no channels found.

I was hoping to do a scan of all frequencies (not cable co specific). I'm sure I'm not connected to NTL as the 20 channels I can get just with my TV include BBC3, BBC4 and VH1. NTL tell me that it's not available in my block but how am I'm getting these random 20 channels?? I've played around with it alot but don't think there's much I can do unfortunately.

You might be on a communal feed in an apartment block

Have you got a cable wire coming from the N*L b0x on the wall to your TV ?

If so , Connect it up to the "Cable Input" socket at the back of the Starvi*w and try a manual scan on 339.500 and see if it finds any channels , if not then you could be connect to a different provider within the apartment block
