Hi I installed the new software for my starview2 when it came out a few weeks ago.everything has been fine, until today I had to manually put the codes back in....has anyone else had the same problem?
No if you are referring to the UK fix then it is AO okay, no problems with it, did you use the 4.55 firmware.
Thats the fix I used and havnt had a Problem with any of the SV2's ive flashed. Have you tried Reflashing it??you may aswell flass it with the newer 4.55 aswell. Make sure EMU is switched on too after the flash. Failing that, back up your channel data and do a factory reset and flash from there.
It was the later software (newest) which was released few days after the 8.02.Its not intended to be different, just was easier for the people who were having probs with installing the 8.02. I kept mine at 8.02 because why fix it if it aint broke!!!! But I have flashed several with 4.55 and have noticed the EPG seems to be slightly faster. Its worth a go or just do a factory reset and reinstall 8.02 if you want! You shouldnt get any problems. If you do do a Factory reset then I recommend you use the 4.55 firmware as it has the Logo file with it which caused some grief for some with the SV2. Download it from the Eamos Library and the instructions are there with it!!!
Hi malci, doing a starview 2 for a friend, first time with a starview, how do i get to the emu? I have put the latest firmware on it, not sure what to do next.
Yep eva, just go to Menu and enter 1570 and the Cas System Menu appears, Key Emu is at the botom okay.
i would leave it for 5 minutes and if it dosent come back on go to the menu again 1570 and press ok on the default key the exit back to the channel again that worked for me,im in belfast tho
Only one of them has updated, the others are saying 0%. I think it's my cable because i have it split, anyway i can get it straight from the feed?
Second one has updated, after tweaking at the cable. lol! you see the way we have it is it comes in and then goes under the floor and the connection points are in the walls, so i have nowhere to even put a booster. Ah well, patience is a virtue.
