Hi folks, I'm based in dublin using N*L as my provider. I have a Starview2 box which used to auto-update when N*L changed the codes but since they began to change the codes more frequently the auto-roll feature no longer works and I have to manually input the new codes. The firmware version on my box is 4.00e_E, boot version 7.0. My box is an original and not a clone (it has 7 rows of 25 vents). What is the correct firmware version that I need to use to get my auto-roll feature working again? Thanks in advance for your help.
I've just been looking through some other threads again and the current firmware version for The Box seems to be 4.50e_E. Is this the firmware version that I should use? I'm afraid to use the wrong firmware in case I damage the box so could someone confirm this for me. Again, many thanks...
Thanks for the reply sc0user. I've downloaded 4.50 but could you tell me what are the advantages with the later versions of the firmware and where can I find them?
To be honest they are minimal at best and 4.50 is quite stable. You will find all you need in Eamos FTA Library at the bottom of my post.
Sometimes when I'm in the EPG screen I get a green screen and then the box crashes, powers off for a few seconds and powers back on. Its not a major problem, just an annoyance really. Do any of the updated firmware versions address this problem? Thanks again.
They were supposed to but havent as of yet for many boxes, TBH as said 4.50 is the most stable version for Ireland.
