hi im new to this can any1 help i just bought a starview3 super i dont know what to download to flash it can anyone help i dont know which one help

thanks i got told to do the8.0 i will do this one do i need the zip or the exe thanks

 

you can use the 8.00 exe if you like, but i`d use the 7.09 for the newer SV3 boxes.

 

i downloaded it but it keeps saying flash update failed when i try to download to starview box

 

Are you using a Null Modem cable??

 

Pauly are you using Vista or XP

its an originall box i dont thinks its the com port but i dont know why is it not downloading

 

Delete the firmw@re from your desktop, & download it again & try & reflash the b0x with the same firmw@re.

 

hi tried but still no joy is it because i havent got bin files h20060918-258eE-api 26012007-257eE-api ive only got fta channels on

 

check label on front of unit as i think u might have a different box.

 

just says the box super

Are you sure you`re using the firmw@re from "the b0x sup3r" folder??
Those are old SV1 firmwares .

 

well theres very little we can do just now if we dont have the box LOL
when you get it back if you click the 2 links below my sig, one brings you to the downloads and the other is a tutorial on how to flash (read this first) if its a super 3 box you are looking to download either the 8.00 or 7.09 or The one I use in Dublin is the 6.01 they are all there dont use the 257_e as its not for your box, get back when you have the box back from your sisters
