Starviw 2 The box cant access nagravision

If i Download update files for My new Starview 2 THE BOX wiil I be able to get into the nagravision menu to enter codes for ntl? because MENU INFO 1570 Does not open the secret nagravision menu? please help thanks

 

yes you will ned to put new firmware on it.if you go to system information it will say api 2.60 you will need to change to v3.00 or 4.00.i have v4.00 if you want it

no you need a null modem cable!!!

 

I got the cable, updated the firmware and it's all working great now.

so if i do this will it alow me to type in 1570 and get the other menu ???

 

Hey MadnesS87, it worked for me....

When I went to Menu, then pressed INFO and then 1570, nothing happened.

So I got the 'gtrom loader' and .bin file from ryanmg's links,
used the null modem cable to connect the box to my pc - ran the
loader, then picked the .bin file and the firmware on the box got
updated.

Then when I tried doing the -Menu- -Info- -1570- thing, IT WORKED !!

when im doing this do i need the cable in or not just that my pc is the other side of the house lol

 

You dont need the cable in when loading the firmware

 

you do need a cable in when loading the firmware form the computer to box how else does it travel.

 

sorry probably picking this up wrong.
you need the cable from the pc in your box but not the scart or n** cable

 

i mean the cable the tv comes down so all i need is the power and a cable to plug it in to the pc
