basically i want to connect my modded xbox to my pc , however static ip needs to be enable if im not wrong, i think i have an evolutionX V+3935, this is what i'm doing on my xbox, i go to system management, then system settings, then a box appears showing settings/info for network, it shows "use static ip" , "subnetmask","dns", and etc, i press "use static ip" and it asks to use it...i press yes, however when i go back or go out of system settings .....it doesn't save the settings , this also happens when i try and change my ip address, it just seems to default automatically to what it had before if anyone can help me i'd appreciate it thanks
you may also need to change the static ip slightly, you also need to change the 'internet protocol' options on your 'lan connection' under control panel on your pc.. go to control panel/network connections/local area connection/properties/internet protocol(TCP/IP)/ then change the ip address to the same as your xbox, but change the last two entries to '0.3', on your xbox change them to '0.1'. jim
