OK, I've been away for awhile and I was just cruising the forums. Holy crap, there are a lot of unlock requests for Sony Ericssons. I think a sticky would be very beneficial to all the "I need an unlock code for XXXX" threads. I'm not very knowledgeable on the subject, otherwise I would contribute something. Nevertheless, it should probably include that SEs cannot be unlocked remotely (except by the carrier), and the general ways of unlocking SEs (what cables are needed, software, and/ or links). Just a thought.

    Hi,

I'll give a short summary of the possibilities:

    - Remote unlock by cable
Usually using the DC60 cable. Examples are DavinciTeam and Kulankendi servers. Farley easy and safe solution which instantly unlock your mobile

    - Free unlock by cable
This using cracked software such as Rocker software, SeTool. This usually also involves flashing / patching which can damage your phone if done wrong or just if software is wrongly cracked. It's a risky method but it's free. Sometimes you need special unlock cable and sometimes you can use DC60 cable

    - unlock by code (IMEI)
No need for software or a cable. You need to get your IMEI (*#06#) and retrieve your lock data :
    1. Type: >*<<*<* on your phone
    2. You will see a new menu now. Choose: 'Service Info'
    3. You will go into a new menu again, now choose; 'Sim lock'
    4. Now you will see 5 lock types with lock icons on the right. Have a close look at the icons. Some of the icons represent an open lock and some of them are closed. We need to know which ones are closed.

Then you can order your unique unlock code. This service is not instant and takes 12 - 48 hours to get your unlock code.
    example; http://www.UnlockSEonline.com

    With best regards,
