I'm still working on getting the key from 74850. I am using a homemade USB extractor...nokia ca-42 cable. In JF I can see the 360 drive and I can see that its picking up the usb extractor but I still can't get the key. The extractor shows up on COM 3. Also, I thought I was supposed to check the box in JF that says USB extractor, but it's grayed out...can't check it.
In Xtractor Reader it picks up the 360 drive and picks up COM1 and COM3 but it says "No USB ports found". Anyone else had a problem like that?

I used the cd that came with it. But then in device manager it had a yellow caution thing on it so I updated the driver through Windows. Now,when the cable is plugged in, under the "Ports" section in Device Manager it says, "Prolific USB-to-serial Comm Port (COM3)".

I tried making the 9 pin d sub extractor twice with no luck. Here is the USB one...well its a link to where I bought it. You just cut off the data end, keeping the USB end and connect a needle to the rx wire. No soldering or need for transistors/resistors.
