    @halfhere,
    CloneDVD 2 retains the format of the Original DVD, I have had NO Playback issues with back-ups made with it. None at all. I just scanned a back-up of a movie done with CloneDVD 2 and it is UDF file system. Universal Disc Format. Plays like the Original.

    If your burner supports booktyping you can also use DVDInfo Pro to do it. Just set the drive in the program and it will booktype in any other program you use. I had the Plextor 740 which was not a true Plex, but a rebadged BenQ. However BenQ suite would not work to get it to booktype, used DVDInfo Pro and it worked like a charm even with Clone.

    Like arniebear said. I did my NEC 3550a with DVDinfo pro and now its set. Set it and forget it. DVD+R = DVD-ROM everytime. :)

    i have some questions about clone dvd..ok when there is are more than 1 angle in a movie & you only check 1 box for 1 angle..why does after you burn the movie to a disc it still contains all angles?...Also clone dvd needs to get a "start" & "end frame" setting like dvd shrink..i almost went crazy 1 day trying to cut some parts of a movie i didnt want..i had to use dvd shrink to do it with..i hope they address this issue..or maybe someone here knows a way?

    @rihgt682

    Download DVDInfo Pro and use it to booktype, if your drive is capable of doing this. The program will booktype and just choose your drive and leave it set. It will work in all programs and you do not have to keep it open. Get it here, choose the program with the advert that is the free one.

    The free version of DvdInfoPro expires at the beginning of every month, and can take up to a week for an update. This can be an inconvience. I use DvdInfoPro for my LG, but I also have a LiteOn which has its own utility.

    @bunnyrip, if I don't change the booktype, it will definitely not play in my 2 older players, even though it says UDF. I get the blue screen of death and "disc error".

    rihgt682, another option that works booktyping with clonedvd 2 is to open dvd decrypter booktype there close it out open clonedvd 2 transcode and burn your dvd and it comes out as DVD-ROM
