Stills on Digi Camcorder

    I am currently looking to buy a dv camcorder the main purpose is to creat dvd's and also picture cd's i have noticed the resolution is quite low when compared to a standard digi camera, does anyone know what the minimum resolution i would need to enable me to create a decent quality picture cd.

    what are you looking at the image with. a picture cd for the tv doesn't really need more than a megapixel since the resolution of hdtv isn't more than 720p or 1080i.

    Yes yuedana, i would be playing the stills back on a standard tv screen, not sure if it is relevant but would include 50" widescreen.

    Do you have a digital stills camera as you could use that instead.
