    Hi All

Does anyone know where in the Nero 7 Premium options I can stop the Nero History Log folder popup window from starting everytime windows starts?

This is really annoying as I have to always close this folder popup everytime I boot up windows. I know where the history log text file lives and can view it if something goes wrong, I just don't want Nero popping this window up everytime windows starts.

    Cheers

you have to adjust your windows start up. I have a program that you can adjust what programs start up when windows loads! It's called [bold]StartUp Organizer[/bold]. You can adjust what starts up when you boot up. It should show Nero loading when windows starts at reboot. Just click the box to uncheck and then reboot. Nero doesn't have to start up every time windows does.

Look in the startup folder to see if it is sitting there.

Run msconfig.exe to see if it is in the startup tab.

Edit the registry to remove a bad entry (do at your own risk). Do a search for the name of the file and it should be at the end of something like:

    C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\NeroHistory.log possibly located in a Run key

I have done numerous installs of Nero 7 and have not had that window pop up. Of course, I could have missed something, but I don't remember a setting for that. If it continues to open, do a web search on how to stop a folder from opening at boot. It does start a NeroCheck utility.

I think there is a setting, when installing, that asks if you want Nero to start every time windows starts!

    Thanks Guys

The msconfig disable of NeroCheck did it.

    Cheers
