Hello, could you recommend a media storage disk for me? I need to back up some Windows Media / Real Player files onto disk using Nero. I have a CDR player and a DVD player - although I don't have a DVDR player. Some of the media files I need to back up to disk are short films. Can I back these up without a DVDR? Will they be playable from disk after backup.

    Thanks
    Shane

As long as the files do not exceed the 700MB capacity of a CD-R, most brand name CD-Rs will do. There are many very cheap CD-Rs on the market in bulk sales or with no-name brands. These are often poor quality (some have allegedly skipped the dye curing stage to save a few pennies)or B-grade product from good suppliers who don't seem to care if their reputation gets tarnished when users read the manufacturer's code.

The files from the CD-R can be read by a computer drive, but you will not be able to read them in a DVD player.
