Is it possible to directly upgrade from CFW 3.40 oe-a to 4.01 m33-2 ? or do I have to do a mid stop first?

Sorry, I have not been in the psp modding community since 3.40 oe-a came out.

Quick guide would be greatly appreciated.

There is a midstop in there somewhere. You need to upgrade to one of the m33 firmwares first, don't remember which one, though.

I think that it was at 3.72, but im not sure. To be honest i wouldent upgrade all the way to 4.01, im still at 3.80 m33-5. 4.01 doesnt add anything to be honest, and in my opinion i have 2 games that i need 3.80 pops to run.

The 1st upgrade you need to do is 3.52 M33-4 and then you are free to update to any higher FW.

I just replied to another thread asking how to do this. HERE is the other thread and I made a short guide on how to upgrade.
