Hi all, Merry Christmas to all!! Today i have a strange problem with my xbox and samsung dvd drive not hacked. The problem is with the open/close button, if I try to close my dvd drive pressing the button, it closes but after one second it opens again. So it is not possible to close my drive. Where is the problem? I'm using M8 bios. Thank you to all Pazzeo
That's a good one... Seen a few odd faults on the 605F drives over the years related to the open/close function. First off I would try changing the IDE cable just to rule that out.. then if it's still funky it's either a fault in the wiring to the eject button or perhaps the tray open/close sensor inside the drive.
i also had this problem a few times with my samsung drive. i just closed the drive by hand (or close/eject buttom). and as soon as it was closed i powered down immediately. then i powered on with the power button and then it worked fine (the close and eject button). i had it a few times with my drive, the above trick worked each time (for my drive at least...).
