Ok, I have a phillips 6035 drive in one of my Xboxs. It reads most stuff, but certain discs don't work. Evox says "Unknown". Ok here's the strange thing! The media they are on, all work fine in the other Xboxs and they even work in this Xbox, just certain discs! So I know the media is recognised, just certain discs wont load!? I have tweaked the pot right the way up and down the spectrum to no avail! Any ideas?
it just the DVD Drive all of them are different i have a sumsung and it wont read imation but my thomson will,just buy good media like verbatim or TY(Taiyo Yuden) and you wont get this problem...
would have to agree with the above. Could just be a media issue. Some lower quality brnads will give you bad discs.
