Whats happening is when I try to burn an audio CD for some reason or other it seems to start the recording some way through a track. For example say (hope this makes sense) Track 1 shows as being The Beatles (3 min long) Track 2 shows as being Queen (4 min long) Track 3 shows as being The Eagles (3 min long) Nero goes through all the motions of recording ok with no error messages. When the cd is then played though during playback of track 1 The Beatles it will cut for example after 2 mins. and start playing track 2 Queen with no break or pause, when it reaches the end of the 3 mins. it switches to track 2 (after a 2 sec silence) and will then continue to play the rest of the Queen track, then immediately it will play track 3 The Eagles until the full track is played and so on down the whole compilation. In other words each track seems to overwrite the previous one by about a min. then the 2 sec gap appears then the track resumes playing and it continues like this through the CD. Tracks play OK when on H/D I,m using V6.3 on win xp. Anybody any ideas!!!! Hope I got the right forum, new to afterdawn
Are those tracks in MP3 format? What drive do you have? Does that behaviour happen when you play the CD in your CD-RW drive? If this is the case, then use good software. Nero is a buggy program, as you can see. You might want to use good programs like Feurio, if your drive is supported: http://www.feurio.com/English/cd_writer.shtml It will show a warning if your MP3 files are corrupt.
from the probelm you v described ..id say u were using a standalone cd playa.. i had similair problems too..when i played them on my 4 yr old standalone. i figured out that prolly it was a matter of speed at which they were burnt and the old playa not being able to cope up with those speeds..cause i tried on my new playa..and they wrked fine..and s/w didnt make a difference.. so now i burn at 4x or 8 x max..and im looking to dispose off my old playa.. cheers
