ive just been trying to write onto some cd-rw discs, but my drive cant read them. i try to erase the cd-rw but the discs dont load properly to be able to do this. i hear the drive making noises like its trying to load the discs. i would have just assumed the disc was messed up, but then i tried another one and it did exactly the same thing. i no its not the drive cos i tried another and it worked. the same data was originally written onto both the cd-rws which i think is a possibility of what the problem is. if there was a way to just put the discs in and not have the data on them read, so that i cant just erase it, i have a feeling this will work as its the problem arises when the data is bein read. has anyone had a similar problem or any ideas that could work?
    thanks

You need to update the firmware for your drive. It's not reading it because it doesn't know what it is. Go to your drive's website and dnld the latest firmware. That should do the trick. Good luck.
