Hi all, I need some advice on a prob...whenever I convert an avi file to mpeg and burn to dvd-rw, I play it in my memorex standalone player and there's no sound and the picture is playing every 2 seconds of the movie. Specs: Memorex DVD-RW (ruined a couple of dvd-r's!), using ULead MovieFactory 2, Pioneer DVR-104. Now the mpeg conversion plays flawlessly on the computer, but ULead does it's own type of conversion when burning (I think). Need a new prog. to burn with??? Any help appreciated!!

If the disc is playing fine on your PC then it's probably the Memorex player that is faulty. Try changing the discs you use. Ulead does not burn the disc - only authors it. Do you use Nero? Try also dragging the file into Nero or whatever burning rom you use(DVD video option) and then burn directly without doing it via Ulead.

Skip the ulead section, use TMPGEnc to convert from avi to mpeg2 and then TMPGEnc DVD Author to convert to VOB format. You cam then burn in a VIDEO_TS folder.
