    Hi,
I used to have a HP dvd burner which i burned dvds with and those dvds worked on all my dvd players. My Hp dvd burner broke and i got a new LG DVD RAM one. Now when i burn dvds using the same media(dvd+r) it works on 2 of my 3 dvd players at home but when i put it into one of them it tries to read it then says check disc. The DVD booktype is set to dvd rom and im not sure why one of my dvd players isnt reading the burnt dvd. So my question is does anyone know why one of my dvd players wouldnt be reading these burnt dvds when it used to read burnt dvds of my old dvd burner which where even burnt to the same media (dvd+r) from the same company.
    Thanks Greg

some players are finicky when it comes to playing media! other players will play anything you feed it! Player compatibility varies from player and media used. If your media has been used before and played and you booktyped to DVD-ROM then I would say it could just be that disk. your LiteOn burner is a good one from what I heard in this forum about LiteOns. consider burning speeds. Burn at half the rated speed of the disk. the disk itself may be from the same company and +R media but did you changed the disk speed? from 8x, DVD+Rs to 16x, DVD+Rs? Maybe it's just that one disk.... clean it.... see if that helps.
