When I stream music from my PC using zune to my 360 the music only comes out as 2 channel stereo. Regardless of what decoding I choose on my AV receiver (Dolby digital 5.1, PL IIX, or Multi Channel), it will only play music through my left and right speakers.

I find this to be odd though, because when I stream videos they can play through all channels. Anyone have any tips on how to get full use of my stereo?

As far as I know theres nothing you can do about that. I think thats the way the 360 handles it as I get the same results. I have yet to encode an mp3 in 5.1 (if its even possible). I think the 360 handles it as its encoded. Mp3s are sterero formatted, not 5.1, 6.1, etc....

Think about it ... an MP3, WMA, M4A, etc are all stereo music files. Dolby is decoding them but they are only stereo. Everythying is working fine.

The only thing you can do is look for some sort of music mode for dolby or an emulated mode that will use all your spoeakers - this is entirely dependent on the stereo and nothing else.
