Hello everyone, I have been thinking back and forth about the idea to buy myself a GC. I have been reading a bit about the 4 different popular mod chips and about the old PSO exploit. I'm kinda looking to be able to do something between the two. I'm considering buying the GC, and a qoob sx. I was hoping I could use one of the GC hosting servers on my network to just send ISOs of my backups that could just be played streaming to the cube, and hence booted from the qoob sx's BIOS. Is this doable? It almost seems that all that would be needed is setting up the modchip, and then a disk that contains a DOL to contact the server to load the ISOs. Could someone correct me on this before I go and invest in all of this?
If you have a BBA id sugest going with the qoob sx its a solid stable chip and very easy to install. If you dont have a BBA or cant get one id go with the Viper Xtreme as you can back you games up via USB. Not quite sure but i thik you can directly stream games with that chip aswell. Good Luck!
From what I have read recently, this can be achieved through gamecube OS. I'm pickin up a GC and a Qoob Pro modchip, and planning on flashing GC OS as a secondary flash slot. As long as this windows VB based GC lan explorer works fine in WINE, i will be set.
